Arjun Kant

Arjun Kant is a Partner and Co-founder of Clavius Legal. He maintains a broad commercial law practice, advising businesses on significant commercial decisions, their ongoing operations and the resolution of complex disputes. His experience spans corporate advisory and governance, employment, intellectual property and technology, real estate, arbitration, insolvency and cross-border enforcement.
Arjun acts for multinational corporations, established Indian businesses, high-growth enterprises, financial institutions, sovereign states and private clients. He works closely with founders, boards, senior management and in-house counsel, often providing continuing legal support across several aspects of a client’s business. His advice brings together the contractual, regulatory and contentious dimensions of a commercial problem, allowing clients to assess their options against both business priorities and the practical enforceability of their rights.
His corporate and advisory practice includes commercial contracting, governance and shareholder arrangements, workforce matters, intellectual property protection and regulatory compliance. He advises businesses in agriculture and fresh food, consumer products, financial services and technology, including leading emerging technology companies developing AI-enabled products and platforms. His work for these enterprises extends to the legal frameworks supporting growth, market entry, commercial partnerships and the protection and commercialisation of proprietary technology.
Arjun also advises institutional organisations on commercial arrangements involving governmental and public-sector stakeholders. His experience includes agricultural and livelihood-development projects requiring coordinated advice on funding, procurement, implementation responsibilities, regulatory obligations and contractual risk. This work complements his continuing advisory relationships with operating businesses, where legal questions frequently cut across commercial, employment, technology and governance functions.
Employment and labour law forms a substantial component of his business advisory practice. He advises employers on workforce documentation and policies, senior management arrangements, disciplinary processes, negotiated exits and employment disputes. His work also addresses the protection of confidential information, ownership of intellectual property and the management of legal and commercial exposure arising from employee mobility.
Alongside this advisory practice, Arjun represents clients in complex commercial litigation and arbitration, substantial land and property disputes, insolvency proceedings and cross-border enforcement matters. His experience includes litigation concerning valuable urban landholdings and hospitality assets, enforcement proceedings involving major financial claims, and asset-recovery proceedings on behalf of sovereign states. He represents clients before the Supreme Court of India, High Courts, the National Company Law Tribunal, the National Company Law Appellate Tribunal, the National Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission and other judicial and statutory forums.
Before co-founding Clavius Legal, Arjun established and led Arkadian Legal. His professional background includes managing intellectual property portfolios for global brands and major corporations. He holds an LL.M. in Information Technology Law from Queen Mary University of London.
