Practice Overview
Gaurav is a seasoned disputes lawyer having an extensive practice in Commercial Law, Corporate Insolvency and Debt Recovery, Arbitration, Criminal Law and Financial Dispute litigation. Having previously been part of the disputes practice at three distinguished law firms in the country, he is regularly instructed against leading counsel and has extensive advocacy experience of both trials and appeals.
Known for his strategic legal acumen and commercially sound approach, Gaurav has particular expertise in urgent interim relief and regularly appears before the Supreme Court of India, various High Courts in India, National Company Law Tribunal and Appellate Tribunal (NCLT, NCLAT), Debt Recovery Tribunal and Appellate Tribunal (DRT, DRAT) and before the District and Sessions Courts in New Delhi.

- Successfully defended a major manufacturing entity in India in corporate insolvency proceedings, ensuring dismissal of unwarranted creditor claims.
- Represented an international construction joint venture in arbitration enforcement proceedings before the Delhi High Court, securing relief amounting to $100 million.
- Lead counsel in writ proceedings for a bio-pharmaceutical company, successfully challenging securitisation actions before the High Court and obtained urgent interim relief.
- Advised a tech unicorn on debt structuring and convertible debenture issuance in compliance with Indian securities regulations.
